- Add red chilly powder, sambar powder and salt.
- Add soaked rice and dal. Add 5 cups water (2 cups for 1 cup rice and 3 cups for 1 cup dal).
- Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Serve with any poriyal or papad or curd.
