  1. Wash moong dal and chana dal well and soak them for 1-2 hours.
  2. Then drain off the water. Add chopped ginger, green chilli and cumin seeds.
  3. Grind all these to a smooth batter (like dosa batter) by adding water as needed. Transfer it to a bowl.
  4. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  5. Heat a nonstick tawa over a medium flame. Pour a ladleful of batter in the centre of the tawa and quickly spread it into a thin circle by rotating back side of the ladle in spiral motion.
  6. Sprinkle few chopped onions and coriander leaves over it and gently press them using spatula.
  7. Drizzle 1 tsp oil around the edge. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the bottom surface turns light golden brown & crisp and top surface looks cooked. Then gently half fold and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute by flipping 1-2 times.
  8. Once done, remove it to a plate.
  9. Repeat making similar dosas with rest of the batter.
  10. Serve Moong Dal Dosa hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney or with your favorite chutney.

It is a healthy, tasty and whole some dish which is enjoyed with upma and allam chutney (ginger chutney). Pesarattu is the telugu word for Moong dal dosa.
