  1. Preheat oven to 180degrees Celcius
  2. Place margarine, dried fruit, milk and sugar in a saucepan and boil. Cinnamon can be added at this stage or later
  3. Sift the flour ,baking powder, salt and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  4. Once boiled ingredients have cooled down, blend them with the dry ingredients
  5. Blend the eggs into the mixture, avoid overbeating and crushing the fruits
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for about 30minutes

Try icing with almond paste for a more festive touch. This recipe is started in October or November so as to let it mellow before the holidays.
