To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have red mud pie using 4 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook that.
The ingredients needed to make Red Mud Pie:
- Get 1 packages Instant Butterscotch Pudding
- Get 1/2 cup milk
- Take 1 packages Cool Whip (regular size)
- Prepare 1 Ready Made Crust (I used chocolate, but graham would be good, too)
Steps to make Red Mud Pie:
- Put milk in a medium mixing bowl.
- Add butterscotch pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk until smooth. (Will be quite thick)
- Fold in 1/2 of the whipped cream
- Mix well but do not whip.
- Pour mixture into your pie crust.
- Put the rest of your whipped cream on top.
- Refrigerate for an hour. (Sets well after at least 30 mins)
- Now, I've made this by ear for a while now, y'all. I sometimes add butterscotch chips. 1/2 bag to the filling mix (can put in chopper to make smaller) and the other 1/2 bag on top. Maybe drizzled with butterscotch sundae syrup on top.
